Concerned Veterans for America Backs the SAVE Act
April 16, 2020
With just a few weeks until the start of the 2020 legislative session, another outside organization is throwing its support behind the SAVE Act, HB 185/SB 143. In its call to action, Concerned Veterans for America says, “This would be especially significant for veterans who are now able to access care outside the Department of Veterans Affairs health care system. By allowing nurse practitioners to do the job they are trained for, we’re allowing more of our civilians and veterans to get medical care when and where they need it.”
The diversity of groups supporting modernized APRN regulations in North Carolina is impossible to ignore. Now more than ever, our state needs increased access to quality care. This bill is long overdue, and we hope the NCGA takes it up ASAP when the short session convenes later this month.
