NCNA’s Nominations Committee put out a call for candidates interested in serving in an elected volunteer leadership role. This election cycle included seven seats on the Board of Directors: President-Elect, Secretary/Treasurer, four Directors at Large positions, and the Chair of the Commission on Advanced Practice Nursing.
Committee members for the Nominations Committee and the Bylaws Committee were also on the ballot, along with the two ANA Membership Assembly Representative positions.
The NCNA Board of Directors meets approximately six times each year. One of the meetings is in conjunction with the NCNA Convention (typically held in September), and another is part of a two-day Board of Directors Retreat (typically held in November). According to the NCNA Bylaws, a person may only serve two consecutive terms in one position.
NCNA is firmly committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion within our organization and in all that we do. Our commitment to DEI is fundamental to our mission and values and is reflected therein. We seek candidates who fully share NCNA’s commitment to Relentless Inclusion.
