Learn and Develop to Better Lead Nursing Forward

Do you have what it takes to be a leader? The NCNA Leadership Academy is an exciting program that empowers nurses to become better skilled as communicators and advocates in professional, civic, and community arenas.

The program includes a series of leadership workshops that prompt participants to consider how leadership happens and what perils and possibilities are present as nurses lead themselves, others, and the community. Participants learn to critically analyze the changing health care environment to determine the best opportunities for leaders, including those within nursing, to improve access to patient care and clinical outcomes while improving value.

“The Leadership Academy made learning fun in a collegial environment. The skills I obtained will help me to excel not only professionally, but personally. I am a better team member and leader for the experiences the Academy provided, and I have created lasting relationships with nursing professionals across the state. I would strongly encourage others to use this valuable tool in helping to develop their best self!”
