DNP Leadership Meeting the Future of Nursing Goal for Health Equity During Challenging Times!”

*The Future of Nursing 2020-2030: Charting a Path to Achieve Health Equity Report states:

A nation cannot fully thrive until everyone - no matter who they are, where they live, or how much money they make - can live their healthiest possible life, and helping people live their healthiest life is and has always been the essential role of nurses. Nurses have a critical role to play in achieving the goal of health equity, but they need robust education, supportive work environments, and autonomy. (NASEM, 2021)

Key Note Presenter: Carolyn H. Bailey is a DNP, MSN, RN who is a leader in our state transforming healthcare, especially to vulnerable populations for care management. Working with the North Carolina Community Health Center Association, as a Regional Account Manager, she provides support and oversight for both internal and external Carolina Medical Home Network, Care Management Program to provide comprehensive health care for better outcomes for vulnerable populations.

Dr. Bailey is an excellent example of DNP leadership role in responding to social determinants of health and how DNP clinical leadership is needed across the continuum of healthcare to improve health equity.
