Triangle Region 2021 Awards and Scholarships

2021 Recipients

On Deceber 7, 2021, the Triangle Region held its Celebration of Nursing! The following nurses were recognized for their various accomplishments.

Scholarships: Undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral nursing students are encouraged to apply. RN, RN-to-BSN, and Graduate program. Applicants must be residents of North Carolina. Please Note: Preference for scholarships will be given to Triangle Region NCNA members. The award recipient will be recognized at the NCNA Triangle Region Annual Event on December 7, 2021.


Recognition Awards

Research Award: Nurses within the NCNA Triangle Region are invited to submit a proposal for the Annual Triangle Region Research Award (preference given to NCNA members). The research project can be currently active (including data analysis phase) or expected to begin within 6-months from the date of the award. The project may be focused on clinical practice, nursing management, nursing education, or alternative therapy. The submission deadline is November 20, 2021.The award recipient will be recognized at the virtual NCNA Triangle Region Annual Event on December 7, 2021. 

Outstanding Nurse of the Year: The NCNA Triangle Region established the Nurse of the Year in 2010 to honor outstanding nurses in the Triangle Region. Recipients are chosen based on their contributions that have made significant impact in their community, on their patients, and to the profession of nursing. Both working and retired nurses are eligible for this award.

Nursing Student of the Year Award: Recipients are chosen based on contributions that have made a significant impact in their school of nursing, community, faculty and classmates.

Outstanding Nursing Faculty of the Year: Recipients are chosen based on contributions that have made a significant impact in their school of nursing, community, and colleagues.
