Now in our 117th year, the Annual Convention continues to be the best nursing event of the year in North Carolina, offering opportunities for networking, professional development and critical association business. The 2024 NCNA Annual Convention will be at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Charlotte Concord Golf Resort & Spa in Concord, NC. Our goal for is to create an environment for nurses to feel inspired, motivated, learn, and have fun by providing current nursing and healthcare topics that are evidence-based and engaging.
John M. Welton, PHD, RN | Pricing the Nursing Product: Finding the Economic Value of Nurses
John Welton is a nurse researcher primarily studying the cost, quality, and value of nursing care. He received his MSN in Nursing from UNC Charlotte, and PhD in Nursing from UNC Chapel Hill. He is currently a Professor Emeritus at the University of Colorado College of Nursing and has held academic positions at the University of Maryland and the Medical University of South Carolina. He has published over 100 articles and presented nationally and internationally on these topics. He is the former president of National Medevac, an air ambulance company he started in Charlotte, NC, in the 1980s.

Dr. Felice Carlton, DNP, RN, FNP-C | Unleashing the Power Within: Mastering Mindset, Conquering Obstacles, and Embracing Possibilities
Dr. Felice Carlton is a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner, Keynote Speaker, and Health Advisor. Dr. Carlton is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a well-esteemed Integrative Health Coach certified by Duke University. She is the owner of Felice Carlton Enterprises LLC, a leadership development company specializing in burnout strategy and mindset development. She possesses 15 years of combined nursing and nurse practitioner experience, with awards from the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Miss a session you really wanted to see? Don’t worry about it! We provide recordings of all of the breakout sessions to attendees — and you can get CHs for all of the concurrent sessions from the day(s) you are registered. You will receive an email about a month after Convention with all the info. General sessions (keynotes, etc.) are not included.
