I hope that everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day Holiday. Thank you to everyone that attended the May meeting that was held in Clinton, NC. Ernest Grant, NCNA President, did an outstanding job presenting on “Disaster Preparedness: Related to Caring for Clients with Burns.” The presentation stimulated a great deal of dialogue and discussion. We were honored by his willingness to present at our local district meeting.
On June 8, 2010 we will be conducting our elections for the upcoming term. Katheryn, Pulse Editor, has completed the ballot based on the candidate interest that was submitted at the May meeting. If you are still interested in being added to the ballot, please don’t delay; e-mail me your name ASAP. I am extremely excited about the wonderful events our district will be planning in the upcoming year and the aspiring leaders that are within our organization. There are already many new ideas that have been proposed which will improve our district’s ability to remain effective and productive.
I look forward to seeing all of you at the June meeting. Please continue to recruit and encourage active membership. It is my vision and prayer that District 14 continues to be a leading and vital force within the NCNA Organization. Thank you for all of your hard work, ideas, and contributions.
